Inspiration and ideas whether your moving house or staying home

As property experts, we like to keep up to date with all that's going on in the market, but why keep this to ourselves?  So each month, we will share some of the most interesting stories and ideas that we come across to inspire you and your property dreams. We'd love to hear your feedback on the stories you love.

A View from Grant Barnes

Where did 2020 go? Such a strange and unprecedented year. Here at Barnes and Barnes, we experienced the dips in the market with the first lockdown in 2020, but with the stamp duty holidays and pent up movement in the market, we saw a very busy second half of the year. Turning to this year, we’re predicting the market will continue to be buoyant in Q1, but we wait to see what happens when the stamp duty holiday finishes at the end of March.

We’ve included a recent article on How to Buy a ‘Home Before The Stamp Duty Holiday Ends’ which you might find of interest if you are moving. If you are thinking of selling, we have also teamed up with Joanne Harte, Founder of Systematic Homes to provide the best advice for maximising your home’s appeal to potential buyers.

If you are looking to move and need a property surveyed or perhaps you’re staying where you are but need a valuation, please do get in touch.

Best wishes,
